Did you know that God LOVES you and made a way for YOU to spend eternity with Him?
And that He made you special and wants to fellowship with you? He even sent His one and only son, Jesus, to die for you! Would you like to learn how you can fellowship with God and know that when you die you will have a home in Heaven with Him?
Understanding Salvation through Christ:
(We encourage you to use your preferred bible version and look all verses up on your own at BibleHub, BibleGateway, or in your own bible text. Always use God’s word as your measuring stick when presented scriptural material!)
1) Understand all have sinned, sin separates you from God, and there is a penalty for your sin.
Romans 3:10 There is none righteous, no not one.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
James 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
2) Recognize Christ, the one and only son of God, died to pay for the penalty of our sin.
John 3:16 For God so love the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
John 10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
Romans 5:8 God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Because of God’s great love for you and me He sent His own son to die in our place.)
Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit
3) Act in faith, repent of your sins and be baptized.
Matthew 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit
Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
John 3:5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Romans 6:3-4 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Romans 10:9-13 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
If you are seeking Christ as your savior (and we hope you are! He will transform your life!), then we encourage you to immediately contact a local area minister and church and ask them to pray with you, guide you in baptism, and help you with questions. It is vitally important that you have support and encouragement as you begin your life with Christ as a new creation (Matthew 13:18-23)!
Steps of obedience that God’s word instructs us to do as believers:
- Be baptized. This is essential and the first step. (See Acts 2:38, Acts 16:33, Acts 8:35-38, Acts 10:43-48.)
- Be a part of a local church immediately, becoming part of God’s family of believers. (See Eph. 4: 11-12, Col. 3:16, Heb. 10:25.)
- Be in God’s Word; to learn wisdom and apply it to your life. (See Ps. 119:11, Ps. 119:105, 2 Tim. 2:15.)
- Be a witness for Christ in your daily life. (See Acts 1:8.)
- Be in regular prayer and communication with Christ. (See Eph. 6:18, Phil. 4:6, Col. 4:2, I Thess. 5:17.)
Do you have questions about salvation? Are you seeking Christ today?
We highly recommend that you get plugged into a local church and seek guidance of the community of Christ followers in your own area! Ask questions of believers, go to bible studies, and always seek understanding through the bible first as your guide.
Much love through Him,
The Team at Indoor Outdoor Space 🙂
